植物手账

Overview

植物手账 ("we", "our", or "the app") helps you identify plants using your camera or photo library. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.

Data We Collect

• Plant photos — Images you capture or select are sent to our plant identification service to generate results. Photos are not stored on our servers after the request completes.
• Approximate location — With your permission, your coarse location (city / region level) is attached to each identification result so you can remember where you found a plant. Location is stored only on your device.
• Identification history — Results (plant name, photo thumbnail, date, location) are saved locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.

Third-Party Services

植物手账 uses the following third-party APIs to power its features:

• Anthropic Claude (anthropic.com) — plant identification and care information generated from your photos
• IPinfo (ipinfo.io) — coarse location lookup by IP, used only when GPS is unavailable

API requests are routed through our own proxy server. Your device never sends API keys or raw credentials to third-party services directly.

Permissions

• Camera — Required to photograph plants for identification.
• Photo Library — Required to select existing photos for identification, and to save identified plant photos.
• Location (When In Use) — Optional. Used to tag where each plant was found. You can deny this permission and the app will still work.

Data Storage & Retention

• All identification history is stored exclusively on your device.
• Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
• We do not maintain any user accounts or cloud sync.
• Photos sent for identification are not retained by our proxy after the response is returned.

Children's Privacy

植物手账 is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
